Corrugated steel tanks by Green Team are designed for efficient installation while maintaining the highest standards of durability and operational safety.
Step 1: Foundation Preparation
Proper foundation preparation is essential for tank stability. The most commonly used solutions include:
- concrete slab foundation,
- ring foundation,
- compacted gravel base.
The foundation must be properly leveled and prepared according to technical documentation. Green Team provides technical support in selecting the optimal foundation solution.
Step 2: Steel Structure Assembly
The tank structure consists of prefabricated corrugated steel panels made of S550GD structural steel with Z600 galvanization (600 g/m² zinc coating). Panels are bolted together to form a strong and stable cylindrical structure.
Thanks to the modular design, installation is fast and often does not require heavy construction equipment.
Step 3: Installation of Sealing Liner
After assembling the steel structure, a sealing liner is installed. Common liner materials include:
- EPDM,
- HDPE,
- PVC.
The liner ensures full watertight protection and protects the structure from stored liquids. A geotextile layer is installed beneath the liner to provide additional protection and structural stability.
Step 4: Installation of Additional Components
At this stage, functional and operational components are installed, including:
- pipe connections,
- service hatches,
- overflow systems,
- roof covers (depending on the project).
Step 5: Inspection and Commissioning
After installation, the tank undergoes inspection and leak testing. Once verified, the tank is ready for operation.
FAQ – Steel Water Tank Installation
How Long Does Steel Tank Installation Take?
Installation time depends on tank capacity and site conditions. In most cases, installation takes between 1 and several days, which is significantly faster than concrete tank construction.
Does Installation Require Heavy Equipment?
In many cases, corrugated steel tanks can be installed using standard tools without heavy construction machinery. Equipment requirements depend on tank size and project scope.
Self-Installation Option Available
Thanks to modular construction, steel tanks can be delivered as kits for self-installation. Green Team provides complete technical documentation and support, allowing investors to reduce installation costs and maintain full project control. This is particularly beneficial for international projects.
Example Installation by Green Team
A 200 m³ tank was installed at an agricultural site. Foundation preparation took 1 day, structural assembly 2 days, and full installation with liner and components 4 days, allowing fast commissioning.
Why Steel Tank Installation Is So Efficient
- fast installation process,
- modular construction,
- flexible installation options,
- lower installation costs compared to concrete tanks,
